The University of California, Irvine Choral program believes its mission is to provide a foundation in musicianship, literature, and performance that will enhance the quality of life of our students as well as the community that we are a part of.
This goal will be achieved by offering the highest quality educational experiences possible for students of all ages and backgrounds.
While we dedicate ourselves to preparing students to pursue music as a profession, we also believe that all students, regardless of major, will be effective leaders in their communities and professions when enriched with the opportunity to explore and develop their personal musical talents and creative imagination.
Dedicated to inspiring musicians around the world, Messoloras has led her choirs to perform on prestigious stages across four continents. Under her guidance, these ensembles have produced recordings on major labels and have been invited to perform at esteemed events such as the American Choral Directors Association National Conference in 2021 and 2023. Her choirs have captivated audiences at renowned venues like Carnegie Hall and Lincoln Center, and their talent has been showcased in national commercial campaigns and professional music videos. Her commitment to musical excellence and innovation continues to resonate with audiences and musicians alike.
Dedicated to fostering artistic growth, Alice Kyungsun Yoo is a passionate pianist with performances spanning the USA, Canada, and Europe. She’s played in vibrant cities like Toronto, Los Angeles, and Rome, and loves collaborating with fellow musicians. Alice has even shared her music live on Minnesota Public Radio’s Performance Today. She holds a Doctor of Musical Arts from the University of Southern California and an Artist Diploma from the Glenn Gould School in Toronto, always striving to bring joy and creativity to her performances.
